Additional info
Appearing on Asahi TV's program "Music Station" (ミュージックステーション), Sonoko showed off a white dress she designed herself. "I originally had a more fluffy image, but it looks like a jellyfish..." she said.
The title song Aishuu no Carnival has very unique choreography in which the body leans forward and one hand stretches out into the air from behind. It became the subject of imitation and parody. In the Fuji TV variety show "とんねるずのみなさんのおかげです", there was a scene where Tunnels' Takaaki Ishibashi imitated the dance.
"The Best Ten" ban lifted
Since the middle of 1986, due to the conflict between TBS and Fuji Television staff, songs related to Onyanko Club had been ranked but not appeared. Sonoko, who had already graduated from the group, was also affected by this, and was forced to refuse to perform her previous work, Kanashii Yoru wo Tomete. Perhaps because the confrontation softened, Sonoko's name appeared on the TV column on March 12, 1987 when Aishuu no Carnival ranked seventh on The Best Ten.
